Starbucks and the puppet show

Getting settled in... Today I took Brae to the puppet show at Starbucks. It's a great weekly program, free, the kids get their choice of plain, strawberry or chocolate milk and the adults get $1 of our beverage. There must have been 40 mothers there with their child-rens. Goodness. I don't believe I have ever experienced anything like this. Brae was in shock she had perma-grin the entire hour we were there. This girl (Anna)that puts on this show is wonderful. She is so theatrical, these kids love this stuff. They sing songs, dance, read a book and have a letter each week that they push through the program. Braelyn was in heaven. She laughed so hard everyone was looking at us LOL. At the end the kids have a chance to go up and meet the puppets, she was a little shy but stayed up there the whole time smiling and talking to the teacher and the kids. When it was time to go she was not happy! "Please God do not let me have to take her out of here screaming" Sooo I eventually picked her up with her pouty face and we made it out before she got really upset. The whole way home she begged me to go back to see the puppets LOL I love the way she says puppets... Anyway I told her that next week we start her kindermusik class so hopefully that will fill some of her social time she so craves...

  1. Randomly found your blog and saw the title of this post. We went last week and as great as the puppet show is, it's a little overwhelming with that many mothers and children. Wish Starbucks was a little bigger. By the way, had no idea kids get free milk and adults get $1 off, how great!
